ABOUT TENZING

tenzing kalden is a tibetan-american actor, director and poet based in new york city. 

she was raised in darjeeling, india, and at age 8 moved to brooklyn, new york. a proud new yorker, she also considers the himalayas her home and hopes to one day see a free tibet.

when she is not working, she is most likely trying to get through her ever hitting recommended movies list (recent favorite: rebuilding dir. max walker-silverman), or expanding her mind by way of trying new foods, traveling, or walks in prospect park with her dog flynn.

most recently she narrated tsultrim dolma’s memoir defying china for penguin random house, performed as the titular role in macbeth at the london academy of drama and art. she can also be seen in fbi on cbs, succession on hbo max, and ramy on hulu.
